Our Services and Supporters
Arts & Disability Ireland (ADI) is a national arts development organisation striving to promote the engagement of people with disabilities in the arts at the highest level, as audience members, artists, performers, paricipants, advisors and employees.
Our key services include Arts Development, Audience Development, Training and Information.
Arts Development
Arts & Disability Ireland provides professional assistance to organisations and individuals in the arts and disability sectors working to establish or improve programmes that enable people with disabilities to develop their creative potential. ADI supports the development and presentation of contemporary art across all artforms by Artists with Disabilities in partnership with arts organisations throughout the Island of Ireland.
Audience Development
Arts & Disability Ireland supports arts organisations to make their venue and services more accessible to people with disabilities. ADI is also the sole provider of Audio Description and Captioning Services for Live Performance in the Republic of Ireland.
Training
ADI co-ordinates and provides Arts focused Disability Equality Training organisations, arts workers and the wider arts sector. We also support a programme of professional development and training opportunities for artists with disabilities.
Information
ADI provides support and information through our inquiry service to individuals and organisations in the disability and the arts sectors. Arts & Disability Ireland fields enquiries and requests from a broad range of stakeholders regarding access issues from arts organisations and individuals, information about professional development and funding opportunities for artists with disabilities and information about the work of Arts & Disability Ireland and its current portfolio of projects, training and consultation services.
Support / Acknowlegement
